If you regularly travel on National Rail services then their Railcards are probably one of the best ways of saving cash on your journey. National Rail Railcards are targeted towards different groups. They offer several different rail cards, some for people between 16 and 25, other railcards for those who always travel together with a partner, or even if you are a senior person. UK Railcards typically cost £30 direct from National Rail, or you can exchange Tesco Clubcard vouchers for railcards. Compared to earlier in the year you can now redeem less Tesco Clubcard vouchers for the same railcards – a third less! Using Tesco Clubcard Vouchers works out cheaper than using a railcard discount code.
Since checking the Tesco Clubcard site earlier in the year there now appears to have been an update to the amount of Tesco Clubcard vouchers you need to redeem for UK railcards. The reduction is substantial.
As of today you can exchange £1 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers for £3 to spend towards a railcard. With the vast majority of railcards costing £30, you need to exchange £10 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers to pay for the railcard in full.
Today you can exchange £10 of Tesco vouchers for £30 railcard credit
Earlier in the year you had to exchange £15 of Tesco vouchers for £30 railcard credit
The Disabled Persons Railcard can be purchased by redeeming £7 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers (£21 of Railcard credit).
