As soon as the Railcard app is downloaded customers can start travelling (and saving 30% off train fares) straight away. The railcard can even be transfer in a few taps to other mobile devices if your battery is running low.

The National Rail 26-30 Railcard is available to buy at www.26-30railcard.co.uk from midday. If you enter the site before midday you will be placed in a queue. After purchase download the Railcard app to your smartphone to use instantly. As this is the launch day expect the site to be a little slow, or even down.

The 26-30 millennial railcard for 30% off train fares originally piloted in East Anglia in December 2017, with the railcard trial being extended nationwide in March 2018 to a further 10,000 customers. Those with the new millennial 26-30 railcard took approximately 6 leisure journeys a month, and covered around 400 miles; average savings of around £125 a year on train travel.
