The British Airways American Express credit cards continue to have increased signup bonuses. Increased British Airways AMEX bonuses have been around for the past few months, and currently there appears to be no date communicated when they will be lowered to the usual amount, meaning that could be tomorrow. For new signups to the cards you could earn up to 26,000 Avios, enough for a flight from the UK to America, possibly a return flight depending where you depart/arrive.
The enhanced Premium British Airways American Express credit card, with a £195 annual fee, has an increased bonus from the usual 18,000 Avios to 26,000 Avios. The bonus is credited when you spend £3,000 or more in your first three months of opening the account.
The basic, and free, British Airways American Express credit card has an increased bonus from the usual 3,000 Avios to 6,000 Avios. The bonus is credited when you spend £1,000 or more in your first three months of opening the account.
If you are new to the Avios scheme and want to boost your points balance without increasing spending then the free British Airways American Express credit card will probably be best for your needs. However it is worthwhile checking all the benefits of the enhanced Premium British Airways American Express credit card, such as the companion voucher you receive at a lower threshold and the increased earning rate on future spending, as this will offset the original £195 annual fee.
