REVIEW: Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport Hotel

Hilton Honors is the loyalty scheme for all properties in the Hilton portfolio. Their newly relaunched hotel programme covers all Hilton hotel brands, ranging from budget Hampton properties, through to luxury brands including Conrad and Waldorf Astoria hotels. Hilton are one of the hotel chains where I have been focusing my own stays, for both business and leisure. Their regular promotions help to boost account balances, which all helps to booking a redemption night much sooner. After staying at one of their hotels earlier in the week here is the Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel review – one of the best hotels in the Charles de Gaulle airport area in my opinion.

From CDG Airport there are several early morning flights back to the UK, so if you value your sleep then it’s best to book into a hotel closer to the airport, and not one further out in neighbouring Roissy-en-France. Hotels further away from the airport usually operate a shared shuttle bus, where as the Hilton Charles de Gaulle Hotel has their own, which is free (if you prefer a taxi Uber are the cheapest – £10 free credit for new Uber users).

Check in at the hotel was quick, and there were multiple desks open, all staffed, despite it being almost 9pm at night. The receptionist instantly recognised the Hilton Honors Diamond status, and upgraded the room from a King Executive Room to a King Executive Plus Room. Looking at the room details on the Hilton Charles de Gaulle Hotel site the “Plus” rooms are newly renovated and are almost double the size, mainly due to being in corner positions. The receptionist also ran through the details of the complimentary breakfast and lounge access, both of which were included in the room rate (and are benefits of Hilton Diamond status).

The allocated King Executive Plus Room was on the 7th floor, and at around 55 square metres was a good size, especially for a hotel in Paris. The key part to mention is that despite being so close to the airport, there was very little noise from either the taxiing of planes to the remote stands, or the roads surrounding the hotel. As well as the hotel being in a prime stop it also many facilities including large restaurant and bar (both with different food menus), a full sized gym and even a swimming pool. As I arrived late and was leaving early the next morning I didn’t have time to explore any further on this occasion.

Whenever I need to stay over at Charles de Gaulle Airport for an early morning flight, the Hilton CDG Hotel is one of the hotels where I stay. It is in a prime position, has its own shuttle service to get you directly to the airport, a good sized executive lounge, and a restaurant were you can either choose from local or international food.

Cash rates at the hotel for a King Executive Room start to around £150 per night, which includes lounge access and complementary breakfast (even if you don’t have Hilton Diamond status). If you prefer Hyatt Hotels try the Hyatt Regency Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport Hotel – another hotel close to Charles de Gaulle Airport with an executive lounge and swimming pool.
