REVIEW: Mercure Paris Pigalle Sacre Coeur Hotel

If you’re ever struggling to find a hotel in Paris at a reasonable price, make sure to look at Accor Hotels. The French company are owners of Mercure, Sofitel, Novotel, Ibis and many more hotel brands. As you would expect being a French hotel company they have hundreds of hotels throughout the country, many of them located in the capital, Paris. The Accor Hotels loyalty scheme, Le Club Accor, also have some great promotions and even allow you to transfer Accor points into Avios points. Read the Mercure Paris Pigalle Sacre Coeur hotel review – a hotel in the Moulin Rouge area, surrounded by sex shops.

Hotel rooms in Paris vary massively depending on the area of the city. A more expensive hotel room doesn’t always mean a large room. Rooms in the Mercure Paris Pigalle Sacre Coeur hotel are smaller when compared to other Mercure hotels in Paris, such as the Mercure Paris Terminus Nord Hotel.

As this is one of the more recent hotels to join the Mercure chain, originally a Timhotel property, and the entire hotel has new fixtures and fittings throughout. All rooms are clean and fresh, with what appear to be relatively new beds, though the mattress was a little hard for my liking. The location of the hotel is great if you are looking to explore the Sacre Coeur or visit the Moulin Rouge, and is a one minute walk from the nearest Metro station.

Positives – newly refurbished hotel, good access to Metro station, good value for money.

Negatives – mattress was a little too firm, all-in-one shower gel and shampoo, hairdryer was useless.
