Virgin America Elevate Series – Earning Elevate Points With Transfer Partners (Part 6)

American Express Membership Rewards are some of the most flexible points available due to the amount of hotels and airlines they are partnered with. Sadly, Virgin Elevate are not partners with American Express so you cannot directly transfer American Express Membership Rewards points into Virgin Elevate points. American Express however are partners with Starwood (SPG), who are in turn partners with Virgin Elevate. By passing though Starwood (SPG) you can transfer points from American Express to Virgin Elevate. This magic link makes it possible to earn Elevate points and then use transfer partners, such as Starwood, to move points through different loyalty schemes.
