6000 Miles & More Award Miles Promotion – Terms Updated?

miles and more star alliance

Earlier in the week I posted an article mentioning what could be the best way to increase your Miles & More award miles. Through a Miles & More partner, MTX Connect are offering 6000 Miles & More award miles for ordering a free sim card, and then activating the card by topping up €20 (£17). The promotion continues until the end of September, though it seems that in the past few days MTX Connect have updated their terms on the Miles & More award miles promotion.

Originally the terms stated “offer valid one time only per each activated MTX Connect account. One Miles & More account can be assigned to one MTX Connect account only”. This of course is understandable as MTX Connect do not want this promotion to be exploited, however they have now added to the terms stating “this marketing offer valid for the first 1000 ordered SIM-cards. Miles will be accrued according to marketing offer conditions”.

Though this limit has now been set in place I expect the miles still to post to accounts. This Miles & More award miles promotion with MTX Connect is well hidden away, and do not seem to be very promoted. When finding the promotion I immediately signed up. The sim card has already been delivered and a €20 top up added. I’m still positive that the miles will still post, and if not I will use the sim card when abroad for data to clear out the balance.

Full details of the promotion and the 6000 Miles & More Award Miles can be viewed on original article.

As I said on the other thread, I’ve just got 5k Miles and More miles from this. Applied for the SIM Card on Wednesday 14th September; arrived in the post from Luxembourg Saturday 17th September; miles uploaded today. Heck of a quick turnaround! If only the other FF programs were that quick! 🙂

    1. Hopefully there will be deals like this in the future.

As regards the ‘first 1000’, I think we must have just squeaked in towards the end. I thought we hadn’t made it because it was being discussed on European forums a few days before I saw this post. You spotted it in the nick of time!

    1. The promotion has not been well promoted, well at least not here in the UK. Who knows how far through the first 1000 promotion we are, but being honest the deal is still worth the minimal risk.

Bring it on , if they dont deliver the miles small claims it is, they have to honour the terms under which people signed up which did not include the first 1000 limit. Going to the the BA best price guarantee route with full refund and 10000 points compensation…..

    1. How is it possible to prove the terms have not been on the site all the time?

Google cache, you can get versions of webpages as far back as 2 years.

        1. Good to know. I just wasn’t aware they cached all pages.

        Just checked and miles posted.

        1. Great news!

Glad that someone else has got their miles 🙂
