Help To Stop Air Traffic Control Strikes

Help put an end to Air Traffic Control over the skies of Europe. Support Ryanair who are helping to stop air traffic control strikes by establishing an online petition to prevent Europe’s consumers from having their travel plans and holidays cancelled by small groups of Air Traffic Control (ATC). The online petition, Keep Europe’s Skies Open, aims to remove the right to strike from Europe’s ATC unions and allow other European ATCs to manage flights over French airspace during any future ATC union strikes. This action alone would save thousands in cancelled or rescheduled flights, and minimise disruptions to all passengers.

Since 2009, French ATC unions have staged 47 days of strike action, closing the skies over Europe, and causing cancellations for millions of holiday makers across Europe. Over just two days in April this year, over 3,600 flights throughout Europe were cancelled because of strikes held by ATC unions in France. The most recent strike is currently looming and is set to be held between Thursday 2nd and Monday 6th June 2016 inclusive.

Sign the online petition to show your support and share this campaign. Before Ryanair can take any action 1 million signatures are required to present this petition in Brussels to urge the EU Commission and the EU Parliament to rethink the existing rules.
